Get Ready for a Dukan Summer!

Sunshine and beach getaways are closer than you think! Endless summer cocktails, picnics and BBQ’s are on the agenda for most of us in the upcoming months.

That means it’s time to get your body into swimsuit shape! Before you say hello to aloha shirts and sarong skirts stay on track with 10 Dukan-friendly tips!

 1. Remember to stay on track with an abundance of Dukan-friendly recipes from the online recipe book (in Dukan Coaching) and Dukan Cookbook that are as spicy and savory as the season!

2. Keep your body moving this summer with plenty of outdoor activities such as bike riding, swimming, surfing, hiking, rowing, playing volleyball, tennis, and of course walking!

3. Stay on track or maintain your True Weight during travel season by keeping a journal of your meals, measurements, weight changes, and important accomplishments. This will also give you a visual aid to note if any improvements or adjustments should be made to your diet plan.

4. Make sure to stay cool and hydrated with a chilled drink such as the Dukan Goddess smoothie, homemade iced tea, or a gazpacho soup. (Recipes found in the Dukan Diet Cookbook) Dr. Dukan recommends consuming cold drinks, as your body has to heat the fluid before it can be absorbed in your system. You can burn up to 60 calories!

5. Put Happy Hour on hold until you have something to celebrate: Your newly toned and trimmed healthy body!

6. As barbeque season goes into full swing, try grilling your food “a la Plancha” using a cast-iron hot plate that seals in the meat’s juices and is great for grilling vegetables.

7. Car owners can burn more calories and save money this summer by washing their own cars on sunny days.

8. As summer is the time for weekend getaways, so make sure to plan ahead by packing foods that may not be available where you travel to such as oat bran, stevia or your Dukan supplements.

9. Add some cinnamon or stevia to your fat-free Greek yogurt and freeze in a Popsicle or ice-cube tray for a delicious and refreshing Dukan-friendly snack that the whole family can enjoy!

10. To keep your skin glowing and cellulite free use a dry brush and brush your legs, arms and tummy up towards your heart—this technique helps to increase blood circulation and tighten skin (dry brushes can be found at your local drugstore).
