Good Afternoon....I a in concolitdation, and jsut had my first meal with wh.wheat pasta...boy what a shock with that re-bound weight..I sure know what Dr. Duakn meant when he said that the fat cells are there waiting...holy moly now I have to be extra vigilant the next few days....I think Cruise was easier.:)

Welcome to the chat, Christy! 7.5 pounds is a great result! Please keep up the good work. Anything that has below 1 per serving can usually be labeled zero so the serving will still have traces of oil and other things there. We usually recommend a teaspoon of olive oil or using a spray that can be measured consistently (not aerosol). For example, the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray actually works more like a pump. We would recommend those and you can use five pumps per meal.

I have a week to go in the Cruise Phase. I will not make my goal weight, but I'm more than 2/3 there and very happy. I'm planning to continue for at least another ten days. Here is the situation. In May, I will be traveling in Turkey for almost two weeks. It is a trip that takes us to several cities with long site-seeing days, etc. I will certainly try to eat as healthy as possible, but I know I can only succeed if I don't let myself become too hungry. Do you have a bar that you can suggest?

Regarding the Fruit, I note that I am allowed one serving per day....now if I were to make a fruit salad (using finely chopped strawberries, granny smith apples, kiwi fruit and  and a bit of br.sugar twin,) would 3/4c be allowed? or not yet?

I am 1.25 lbs away from my tw...I am very pleased. BUT, I have a dinner party to go to tomorrow night, and I will be tasting dishes that have been prepared by members of the group. Should I do two days of pp to counter balance eating items tht are not on my pv day?

I wish I had reached my tw, then it would not even be an issue for me, i could use it as my celebration meal!

It is great to hear you are so close to your goal. It really is best to fight back those sugars and fats with an extra PP day. To make it more effective make sure to detox with herbal tea and to do extra fat burning exercises.

Welcome to the chat, Kim! It looks like you are going through a whoosh cycle. I would check your sodium consumption and dairy to help keep the water retention low and to encourage your body to whoosh the water weight a bit fast. Everyone goes through this but this is definitely a good thing. Your body will cleanse itself and you will feel great!

Candy, walking the stairs is the mandatory program so you are definitely good to go. Calculating the actual calories is actually a complicated process involving your weight and other factors, and we want you to avoid these hassles as much as possible :-)

I am having trouble with consolidation phase.  As soon as I add anything my weight is up a couple of pounds next day. I then go back to cruise or pp. how do you ever stabilize?

Dear Amy, A COUPLE OF POUNDS is not possible in the normal consolidation. Probably the salt which can make you retaining water. Try to take a vegetable drainer. And if it persists, ask your doctor to prescribe you a test of TSH to be sure that your thyroid is not lazy. Don't drink too much when you eat salted. And don't be afraid, slowly and slowly, you will finish by find the good timing. Give me news next week or before if you need it. Have a nice day Amy

Hi, I am having a very tough time in the consolidation phase.  Whenever I add back anything, my weight is up a couple of pounds and I have to go back to cruise or pp days. What can I do? will I ever stabilize?

Welcome to the chat, Mark! If you are in the Cruise Phase, brown rice would not be allowed then. In the Consolidation Phase, it can be in your celebration meal or your starchy food serving. Also a cup of cooked brown rice in exchange for two slices of whole grain bread in Consolidation.

Hello there!  I am now in the 107th day of my Dukan Journey, have lost 45 lbs, with 3 more till goal on May 22!  I have chosen to continue to lose with the hopes that 5 more in addition come off, if my body allows it.

After all this time, I still have a question to verify.  When you say detox with Herbal tea, does it matter if it is DeCaff or Caffienated?  I do understand that caffeine burns more fat.  However, if I have had my quota of caffeine for the day in th morning with coffee, will the DECAF Herbal tea, still do the Detox as you stated?

And many cheers, and kudos to you Dr. Dukan!  This certainly is the healthiest eating lifestyle!  I thoroughly love it and promote it daily!  And have turned many your way!  Your book sales should have gone up in the past months!  :)

In my questionnaire I mentioned that I eat fast which, as your instructions have made me aware, is also the reason why I seem to be naturally inclined to binge, binge, binge! I am a snack-o-holic and need some Dr. Dukan advice about this.

Dear Taylor, To eat fast is an habit very difficult to abandon but it is possible and even if it do not become automatical, you can try only when you are conscious. But if you want to binge, the first thing you have to do is IMMEDIATLY a big glass of liquid and after that a galette of oat bran with a white egg and a greek yogurt. With such an avalanche of food, you will be protected and the next binge will be delayed. Hope you do that and come and tell me the results next week. Nice day for you Taylor

 thanks rodrigo...im really confused as to why my weight will fluctuate up to 4lbs in one day..i'v lost about half of the weight i am supposed to, and had about 15lbs to loose in total.  I always hear that the last 10 lbs are the hardest is this true when those 10 lbs are close to the total amount of weight you need to loose?

Carla, this is actually very normal because your body retains water to try to retain its shape and also to use it to expel fat and toxins. You can go up to 4 pounds just by your body naturally trying to be healthier in the long run. Because of this, when you have about ten pounds of fat to burn, and then four pounds or more of water to fluctuate, it seems like it never goes away. It will though and we know you will get there!

Any Dukan online exercise videos or DVDs coming soon? It's easier to exercise when someone is talking, coaching, encouraging you and giving you tips while grinding out them out. Exercise, ick!

Hi, I have been on cruise phase for about 1 1/2 months now...and I can't seem to loose much of anything.  I know you say to eat as much as you like...but I am getting really full very fast.  Decided to track my calorie intake and to my surprise on pp and pv only intaking about 1100 or less....could that be why I have not been losing?  I don't cheat I am very strict....my problem is I am stuffed...can't imagine eating MORE!!

Welcome to the chat, Stephanie! It's possible that your body may just be going through a whoosh. We consider that a good kind of plateau. However, if you find that you are not eating enough to continue thermogenesis, try things that boost your appetite. The best are usually spices and condiments like cinnamon. Once you take those in, they can really help you eat more. Try to space out your eating as well. It can be hard to eat all those proteins at once in one sitting. Some white proteins here and there (every three hours) can really make a difference.

Dear Taylor,
If you are in consolidation, you have finish with the most difficult and I am proud of your trip BUT dont feel too victorious, you have to arrive on the ground. If you want to feel full and satisfied, start always your meal with the vegetable and a good portion of meat or fish or poultry or all of them and one galette of oat bran and drink a big glass of liquid. After that, you can have your fruit or your portion of cheese depending at which meal you take them.  Don't forget the dairy products, you can eat them when you need something soft and tender and I am sure that you must be satisfied. Dr.  After a prolonged period on the Cruise phase is it normal to start to feel hungry a lot more.  I'm going through a tough time with stagnation and find that I'm very hungry.  Enough so that my stomach growls.
