Lose Weight Now & Get Ready For The Beach


Can you slim down in time for the beach? Yes you can (or Yes DUKAN)! If you're following the Dukan Diet, you are probably well on your way to reaching your True Weight and not craving the empty-calorie, unhealthy foods that you used to eat on a regular basis. Whether your summer takes you traveling abroad or just to the nearest beach or pool, now is the time to show off what the Dukan Diet has done for you! If you are not fully prepared just yet you can look your best all summer long with our 8 Summer Weight Loss Tips



1. If the last few pounds are taking forever to come off, you want to fit into your favorite swimsuit or maybe you have trouble curbing appetite during social events like barbecues and picnics, try our Dukan Diet Appetite & Fat Control! Made with apple cider vinegar, apple pectin and apple fiber, these ingredients will help rid the body of toxins (released from the fat burning process), improve bowel movements and help control your appetite.


2. At the next summer pot-luck event, try cooking up one of your favorite Dukan-friendly dishes for others to try. 3. One of Dr. Dukan’s favorite Slimming Secrets is to drink cold water as it forces your body to use more energy to raise your body’s temperature to warm it up - up to 60 calories worth! Start drinking iced tea or coffee and chilled water— this extra fat burning tip will come in handy once the hot weather rolls around!


4. Try spicing up your traditional summer dishes with a healthy Dukan-twist. Get creative by using the spices, herbs, marinades, and dressings listed in the My Cupboard section of your Slimming Apartment to make delicious entrees. For example, you can swap a potato or pasta salad dish with a Shirataki noodle salad made with shirataki noodles, hard-boiled eggs, Dijon mustard, black pepper, chopped celery, chopped red onion, and some Dukan Classic Mayonnaise.


5. To help tone your body and get rid of cellulite try exercises that focus on overall fat burning such as high intensity interval training (this can be done on a on a treadmill, elliptical machine or simply jogging outdoors—alternating bursts of intensity for a minute followed by 2-3 minutes of regular intensity for a total of 20-30 minutes). Gotu kola, a type of herb which is in our Dukan Diet Cellulite Control supplement, has also been shown to help diminish the appearance of cellulite by improving blood circulation throughout the body, and strengthening the veins and capillaries. Lastly, using a dry brush on a specific muscle area, brushing towards the heart will increase circulation, help tighten your skin and reduce cellulite.


6. Spending lots of time outdoors or at the beach can lead to sunburn. Remember to use sunscreen and consume lycopene-rich foods as they act like an internal sunscreen (provides an SPF of about 5). Tomatoes (including our Dukan Diet Marinara Sauce), red cabbage, chili peppers, asparagus, persimmons, grapefruit and watermelon are Dukan- friendly foods that are high in lycopene. Make these a staple in your home depending on what phase you are currently in.


7. If you are taking a holiday, try and walk as much as you can and don’t skip meals. During the Cruise phase - you can do all protein + vegetable days (sticking to low-fat meat/shellfish/fish with salad and vegetables plus fat-free dairy products), then once back at home do an equal amount of pure protein days. Make sure you take a supply of oat bran with you—measure it out in individual Ziploc bags for easy travel.


8. Add some pizazz to your water this summer! Add cucumber slices, rosemary sticks, lemon or lime slices, mint leaves or even a tablespoon of Goji berries. You can mix and match any of the above. Rosemary and cucumber slices make a lovely infusion.
