The 10 Tips To Always Be Bikini Ready

1.            Make sure you're getting enough protein! Getting enough lean protein throughout the day is a must. We all need protein! It speeds up your metabolism and balances your blood sugar levels, preventing insulin spikes, which can cause weight gain. Protein is made up of amino acids that your body needs –It helps your body build sexy, lean muscle and keeps your nails, skin and hair looking healthy.

2.            Drink Up! You know the importance of staying hydrated! Water can do wonders for your waistline: A study found that after men and women drank 17 ounces of water, their metabolic rates increased by 30% within 10 minutes and peaked about 40 minutes later. As a bonus, staying hydrated contributes to glowing, beautiful skin!

3.            Morning Workouts! We want you to wake up and sweat each and every morning! Morning exercise gets your body moving, sweating and geared up to burn calories all day long. The best part is that getting your sweat on first thing in the AM burns a higher percentage of fat than any other time. Most importantly, doing something earlier in the day ensures that nothing comes between you and your health & fitness goals! Set that alarm and get moving!

4.            To keep your skin glowing and cellulite free use a dry brush and brush your legs, arms and tummy up towards your heart-this technique helps to increase blood circulation and tighten skin (dry brushes can be found at your local drugstore).

5.            Farmers’ markets have become more popular and can now be found in most major cities. Make an hour at your local farmers’ market part of your weekend ritual so you can stock up on foods for the week ahead—it’s a great way to ensure that whatever you’re eating travels directly from the earth to your plate.

6.            Green tea! Compounds found in Japanese green tea may help boost your body’s metabolism and fat-burning abilities, according to double-blind, controlled clinical studies.

7.            Eat organic dairy. Add dairy to your diet, and you’ll find it easier to takeoff weight—and keep it off. That’s because calcium signals the body’s fat cells to burn the day’s calories instead of storing them as fat. Calcium supplements do help dieters lose weight, but they’re not nearly as effective.

8.            Summer is perfect for swimming!  It combines physical exercise with Dr. Dukan's recommendations to dip into cold waters! Cold water has an unusual effect on the lower body.  Although fat may look the same all over, it’s not.  Some fat, especially in legs, is chemically stubborn.  To lose this, it helps to get chemical stimulation.  To get your stubborn fat to release fat, we need to blast it with neurotransmitters and hormones like adrenaline (aka epinephrine) and nor-adrenaline (aka nor-epinephrine).   Cold bathing boosts both.  Even if you can’t take the full cold bathing experience, it’s worth getting your legs cold.  The legs contain a large number of cold receptors, so even just exposing them helps.

9.            Shed water bloat. Incorporate foods with diuretic properties, which help rid the body of excess water, such as asparagus, parsley, cucumber and watercress.

10.          If you don’t own a BBQ,  try grilling your food “a la Plancha” using a cast-iron hot plate that seals in the meat’s juices and is great for grilling vegetables.
