Keeping Your New Year's Resolution

Now that the New Year is closely approaching, it’s the time to take out the pen and notepad and start thinking about a resolution list. The best way to follow through and accomplish your resolution goals is to make a plan and organize weekly “bite-sized” goals.

So if your resolution is to lose weight, be fit, and look great next year, check out www.dukandiet.com for health tips, coaching, and nutrition advice.

As a coached member, The Dukan Diet offers solutions and guidance to help you succeed in getting back into shape.

  • Resolution 1: I will write down everything I eat!  Studies show that dieters, who write down everything that goes into their mouth, have more success on a diet plan than those who choose not to jot down their foods.

  • Resolution 2: I will eat breakfast every day! Make breakfast a regular priority and reduce your risk of obesity. Eggs are a great Dukan way to start the day!

  • Resolution 3: I will get rid of all non Dukan friendly foods. Clean out your home – remove all junk from your kitchen! Stop buying addictive junk foods that you find hard to resist.

  • Resolution 4:  I will not skip meals! Most obese people have one thing in common – skipping meals. The moment you allow your blood sugar to drop (when you feel hunger pangs) you become a fat-storing machine. You must eat small protein rich meals or snacks every few hours.

  • Resolution 5: I will not be afraid of weights! Cardio is the slowest way to lose weight. It’s all about resistance training. This will help you burn more calories faster and also add much-needed muscle to speed up metabolism. Concentrate working out on the bigger muscle groups like the chest, back, gluteus, hamstrings and quadriceps.

From all of us at The Dukan Diet, we wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
